All Charlottesville Dress Company products are made to order in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, and inventory is not kept in stock. Lead time (amount of time from the time of order to the time an order is shipped from our facilities) is generally four weeks; C'ville Dress Co. staff will be in touch directly should anything change with the lead time of your order.
We try to make sure images of our products shown on your digital screens are as true to color as possible. Some variation in the color of a garment in person may occur and cannot be prevented.
All orders ship to the United States at a tiered flat rate depending on the size of the order. Shipping is provided by USPS flat rate service and all shipments are insured. Shipping orders to countries other than the United States are subject to local laws and may not be feasible. Staff will be in touch should there be any issue with shipping your order.
Return, credit policies
Because all of our products are made to order, Charlottesville Dress Company does not accept returns or exchanges. When ordering custom garments, our design staff will work with you to ensure your garments will be proportioned to your measurements exactly before construction begins. In the event you have a problem with your order that does not involve the sizing or construction of the product, contact us and we will work directly with you to ensure your satisfaction with our products.
Customization Credit Policy
All customizations are agreed upon by the customer before leaving the studio by signing an order form. Once your custom garment is constructed, you will meet with our design experts to ensure perfect fit. If the fit is not perfect, alterations can be made at no cost. Additional customizations or changes to customizations agreed upon at the initial consultation are subject to an additional charge, due at the time of request.
Since accessories are not customizable, this customization credit only applies to custom garments. Issues with accessories ordered through this site or in person are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you have an issue with an accessory you ordered from us and we will be in touch as soon as possible.
Just like any other shopping site, we collect personal information when you shop at cvilledress.store. We only use this information to make your shopping experience as easy as possible, and we'll never give it away or sell it to advertisers. The only time we might share your information is with fraud prevention and detection agencies. We need this information to help process your order and to update you of any issues with your order or to ask you questions about your bespoke order. We may occasionally send you special offers or promotions, but you are always free to opt out of any promotional communications.
We collect the following information when you place an order:

- Your email address - used for order confirmation and promotional marketing. Your email address will never be sold to a third party.
- Your shipping address - this will be shared only with the shipper to process your shipment.
- Your telephone number - we'll only ever call you if there's an issue with your order.
- Credit card information - not kept on file unless you create a customer account with us, and only ever used when you place an order.
- Our site is secure and protected by Squarespace encryption and SSL certificaton, and we will always keep this up to date.
